Conference and Travel Information
The conference will be located on the campus of the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana, USA. The conference hotel is the Morris Inn, located on campus, on Notre Dame Avenue. All meetings will be held in the McKenna Hall Conference Center, on campus, across the street from the Morris Inn (also on Notre Dame Avenue). Lower cost accommodations is available in student resident hall (open to all), Ryan Hall, about a 2 minute walk to the conference center. Air Travel
For most attendees, air travel to the South Bend Regional Airport (SBN) may be the best option. That airport is about 10 minutes by taxi to the conference facility and hotel accommodations.
All international flights will connect through another major hub in the US and then connect to SBN.
An alternative is to arrive in Chicago O'Hare (ORD) or Chicago Midway (MDW) and rent a car or take a bus to the Note Dame campus.
By rental car, the drive is about 2 hours to campus.
By bus, the ride is about 3 hours to campus.
If you are flying into South Bend Regional Airport (SBN): The campus is a 10-minute taxi ride away. The fare cost is around $15.00. Many car rental agencies are located in the airport if you are planning on renting a car. Driving directions to campus from the Airport: Exit the airport, and turn left (east) on to US20 (Lincolnway). Turn left (north) on Bendix Drive. Stay on Bendix Drive to Cleveland Road. Turn right (east) on Cleveland. Turn right (south) onto Indiana 933 (Michigan Street). Turn left (east) onto Angela Blvd.

If you are flying into Chicago’s O’Hare (ORD) or Midway Airports (MDW): Chicago, IL is 90 miles west of Notre Dame, IN. Most airlines have connecting schedules to the South Bend Regional Airport (SBN).
There is frequent bus transportation to campus from the Chicago airports by CoachUSA. Information of their services, schedules and fares can be obtained at their website: Travel to and from Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Chicago Midway is easily obtained using Coach USA bus service with hourly departure schedules.

Travel By Train to and from Chicago City Center
If you are connecting to/from Chicago city center, convenient train service is available from the South Shore Line with a connection to the South Bend Regional Airport (10 minute cab drive to Notre Dame). http://www.nictd.com/

The campus is located just South of the Indiana Toll Road (Interstate 80/90).
From the Toll Road, use exit 77, which is the South Bend/Notre Dame-St. Mary’s exit.
Turn right (south) onto Indiana 933 (Michigan Street).
Turn left (east) onto Angela Blvd. (the 4th light).
Drive approx. 1 mile and turn left (north) at the first light, which is Notre Dame Avenue.
The McKenna Conference Center is the fourth building on the right. The Morris Inn (conference hotel) is across the street.
Conference Location

Conference Hotel - The Morris Inn
Hotel lodging has been arranged at The Morris Inn (on campus) the nights of May 29, 30, 31, June 1, and 2. Single rate is $149.16 and a double is $171.76 (both rates include applicable taxes and hot breakfast). The Morris Inn is located across the street from the Conference Center. You must contact The Morris Inn directly at 574-631-2000 for reservations and be sure to specify you are with the OSS2010 conference.
Residence Hall Lodging - Ryan Hall
Residence hall lodging in air-conditioned a residence hall is available the nights of May 29, 30, 31, June 1 and 2. The price for single per night is $47 and double is $34 per person/per night. The residence hall (student dormitory) is located about 2 minutes walk to the Conference Center - McKenna Hall.
Blankets, sheets and towels are provided during your stay. Lavatories and showers are shared in common with separate men's and women's facilities on each floor. There is no provision for more than two persons per room. Requests for adjoining rooms cannot be guaranteed, but will be honored if possible.
Travel Insurance
International travelers to OSS 2010 should determine if "International Medical Insurance" is advisable while visiting the USA. See here for additional information.
